The location of La Casona really impressed me. The views from the balcony were fine, especially watching the hummingbirds flutter around while enjoying breakfast. It felt so peaceful. I appreciated the spacious shower with hot water and good pressure in the Beautiful King Room. The hotel showed signs of aging. The mosquito net in my room had holes, and there were some cleanliness issues with towels that looked stained. The bar noise from nearby until midnight was disruptive. The atmosphere was vibrant, but attention to room maintenance is needed for a better stay.

I liked the place, its marvellous breakfast.
the property was amazing. the room was incredibly comfortable, outstanding with a particularly good bathroom. the breakfast had a wide array of selection, the food was decent. the location was very central, good right in the centre of minca. further, it was just off restaurants as well as the rainforest.

amazing views from the restaurant balcony, relaxing pool area, great bathroom shower
The hotel feels dated!!! Mosquito nets have holes and are too small!!! Chairs and loungers need repairs, and noise from nearby bars continues late into the night!!!

Simply no complaints whatsoever, really nice stay. This hotel was peaceful and relaxing and breakfast was wonderful. Location really close to good hikes, the bridge over the River Minca in the heart of the village, and communal areas in need of repairs. For shots visit Smoothies Restaurante, nestled within 5 minutes' walk of the property. Very professional and responsive staff; early check in. Variety of goodies for breakfast:)))

Family with children suitable spot
The location is prime,, right off main street so you can easily walk to many restaurants and shops. The staff members were super friendly,, always keen to help us with anything we needed.
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly, but still somewhat reasonable.

fantastic central spot for exploring local attractions and nature
Staying here was a treat as it's just a short walk to the Cacao museum and Chocolate Factory and only about a 30-minute trek to the fine Cascada de Marinka. The charming outdoor spaces was great, although the sound from the nearby bars could be a bit loud at night, a downside.

The kids loved the pool area and we enjoyed the relaxing terrace with views of hummingbirds. Our daughter especially enjoyed strolling to nearby chocolate attractions, just a short walk from the hotel. It was a beautiful setting for family fun.
In my wife's opinion, more pools would make it better for families.
